Introduction
The proposed Technical Assistance (TA) project (KISS LIFE SIP TA) is used for preparing the concept note for the first stage of project application in fall 2024 and the second stage full proposal to spring 2025 call for LIFE CLIMA Strategic Integrated Projects (SIP).
Project Objectives
The target of the KISS LIFE SIP TA project is to design a coherent and exhaustive project plan and funding application for the actual SIP (KISS LIFE). The actions are planned, responsibilities of the beneficiaries assigned, and the SIP project management ensured.
Capacity Building and Collaboration
The capacity building, policy level, concrete project implementation, and dissemination actions are designed together with relevant stakeholders in a collaborative process. The application is ensured to be coherent with the new Finnish National Climate Change Adaptation Plan (NAP) Government Report on Finland's National Climate Change Adaptation Plan until 2030 - Wellbeing, Prosperity, Safety, and Security in a Changing Climate approved by the Finnish Government in 2022.
Stakeholder Engagement
The KISS LIFE SIP TA project places a strong focus on stakeholder collaboration. This includes:
- Workshops amongst the future SIP project beneficiaries to facilitate the building of the consortium.
- Planning the actions and project budget.
- Engaging relevant actors in the process through stakeholder meetings and workshops.
- Bringing together relevant funding bodies.
- Identifying and planning complementary projects.
- Creating a complementary funding strategy.
