Introduction
The Technical Assistance of LIFE eCOadapt50 project covers the preparation of the full application of a LIFE SIP linked to the implementation of the Local Strategy for Adapting to Climate Change of LIFE CLINOMICS and to the execution of climate change adaptation actions in different territories of Catalonia. The focus is on the forestry, agriculture, fishery, and tourism sectors. A full application, prepared within the LIFE TA PP, will be submitted during the planned call (full proposal on April 2022).
Activities Overview
LIFE TA PP eCOadapt50 covers the following activities to develop a high-quality CLIMA SIP project to achieve the best results in terms of adaptation and increased resilience:

Revising Lessons Learned
Revising lessons learned from LIFE CLINOMICS and other projects related to the SIP project and concerning climate change adaptation. -
Stakeholder Engagement
Working with the beneficiaries and other stakeholders (local entities, companies, investors, funding entities, and insurance companies) to develop a detailed action plan for LIFE SIP. Enhancing technical capacity to prepare a high-quality SIP project and to manage its execution. -
Complementary Actions and Investments
Developing the complementary actions and investments. Drafting how to mobilize structural funds (ERDF, ESF, CF, EAFRD, EMFF 2021-2027, NGEU) and others (regional funds, bank credits, self-financing) for local climate change adaptation. -
Awareness Raising Campaign
Developing a detailed concept for an awareness raising campaign. -
Networking and Replicability Plan
Drafting a networking and replicability plan, searching for European partners related to Natural parks (EUROPARC federation), LEADER groups, primary sector, and tourism European networks. -
KPI System Development
Preparing guidelines to develop a clear and useful KPI system to evaluate the impacts of CCA measures implemented by the project (analysis of existing indicators, identification of data sources, workshops with stakeholders, etc.). -
Full LIFE SIP Application
Drafting and submitting a full LIFE SIP application to the EU Funding & Tenders Portal.
