LIFE – Enhanced Capacity Building in Hungary
The project aims to enhance Hungarian participation in LIFE projects through targeted training, tailored support, and information dissemination, fostering sustainable project submission and improved policy standards.
Projectdetails
Introduction
The goal of the LIFE – Enhanced Capacity Building in Hungary project is to provide in-depth information and training concerning LIFE participation to all eligible Hungarian actors in a more targeted way. This initiative considers the lessons learned from the previous Hungarian LIFE Capacity Building Project and analyzes the underlying causes for moderate Hungarian participation in LIFE projects.
Objectives
We aim to enhance the already existing competences and knowledge of LIFE experts and establish forums that help applicants in generating, developing, and submitting LIFE projects. These elements, complemented by other relevant actions, are aimed at increasing the number of successful Hungarian project submissions.
Tailor-Made Approach
What differentiates this concept is that the different target groups will be offered a tailor-made approach to tackle their specific insufficiencies, which have been obstacles to successful Hungarian project submission.
Planned Activities
The activities envisaged include:
- Organising information days
- Best practices exchange activities for National Contact Points
- Trainings on the entire project management cycle for potentially interested entities
- Competitions for university students with innovative ideas, while connecting them with the private sector
- Targeted information dissemination campaigns using new digital communication channels
Long-Term Impact
All these actions are to be carried out with the aim of having a sustainable, long-lasting effect on the submission of quality Hungarian LIFE projects, even after the duration of the Capacity Building Project. This initiative will simultaneously contribute to the enhancement of Hungarian policy standards.
Future Actions
Accordingly, one of the important actions of the project will be realized after the implementation period. Experiences, feedback, and best practices from this and other Capacity Building Projects will be discussed, after which these insights will be made available for future interested parties online.
