Introduction
Fern’s SGA 2022 proposal contains a total of six work packages, spanning:
- Organisational development work
- Climate adaptation and mitigation
- Bioenergy – the clean energy transition
- Sustainable consumption
- Sustainable trade
- Illegal logging – sustainable timber
Team and Objectives
Across these work packages, our team of 19 staff will work to influence roughly twenty EU policies that are:
- Being discussed by the European Parliament and Council
- Still in the proposal stage with the European Commission
- In the implementation phase
Alignment with LIFE Priorities
Each of these policies is key to the LIFE priorities, particularly:
- Nature
- Biodiversity
- Circular Economy and Quality of Life
- Clean Energy Transition
- Climate Mitigation and Adaptation
