Projectdetails

Introduction

Deftpower will develop, bring to market, and scale across Europe an innovative plug-and-play virtual power plant of electric vehicles.

SaaS Platform Offering

To its customers, Deftpower offers a SaaS platform as a white label charging app for normal and smart charging, connecting EV drivers to charge points and energy markets in Europe.

Charging Cycle Influence

The platform can influence the charging cycle, enabling demand response and peak-shaving, which will make grid management for DSOs and TSOs more cost-efficient.

Machine Learning and Flexibility

Through developing the platform with a machine-learning-based forecasting model, Deftpower can extract and trade flexibility from EVs.

Benefits for Grid Operators

Grid operators can access this flexibility and use it to maintain a stable and reliable grid.

Benefits for EV Owners

EV owners can monetize their vehicles by providing them for grid balancing, being rewarded through Deftpower’s service.

Contribution to Sustainability

By ensuring that EVs are not only a cleaner mode of transportation but also a key player in providing flexibility to the grid, Deftpower is helping to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable future.

Cost Reduction and ROI Improvement

This initiative will reduce the costs of EVs, avoid costly grid investments, and shift the demand for electricity to moments in the day when electricity is cleaner. The latter will also improve the ROI on green energy investments such as wind and solar power generation.
