Projectdetails

Introduction

CDP Worldwide (Europe) gGmbH's objectives for the final year of the FPA are to continue to advance the EU sustainable finance agenda, the implementation of corporate governance policies, and the role of sub-national governments in EU-level decision-making, all in support of the EU's climate law and water, biodiversity, and adaptation goals.

Work Program Delivery

We will deliver our work program through the following:

  1. Direct engagement with organisations to encourage them to disclose information about their environmental performance.
  2. Use the CDP questionnaires and disclosure system to support organisations and collect relevant data through our platform.
  3. Apply our scoring methodology to incorporate new features and ensure better comparability of data, quality checks, and track progress against benchmarks.
  4. Analyse key data points and release scores which rank the disclosing organisations according to their performance and commitments.
  5. Publish annual reports with scores and key findings such as European and global trends.
  6. Disseminate analysis to policymakers and government officials, corporates, capital market actors, as well as academics and the general public.
  7. Support investors to conduct analysis, create investment criteria, and design new financial products.
  8. Support policymakers with data and insights to drive better legislation and regulation.

External Communications

Supporting CDP’s entire work programme are external communications with media and other stakeholders, including NGOs, research institutions, and the public.

Conclusion

We are heading into the final year of the European Green Deal, as it stands, with EU institutions moving into their next mandate. CDP will play a crucial role in providing continuity towards net-zero and nature-positivity 2050 by companies, capital markets, cities, and regions, taking them from the current into the next mandate and the new political priorities.
