Introduction
The EU has targeted renewable energy shares of 32% and a 50% reduction in GHG emissions by 2030. This goal is expected to lead to an exponential growth in the demand for battery energy storage systems (BESS).
Waste Management Challenge
Without suitable re-use technologies for old batteries, 95% of all end-of-life battery systems will be disposed of. As a result, the EU will accumulate 250k tonnes of waste by 2025.
Innovation Overview
STABL has developed and patented SMART BATTERY, a disruptive innovation that allows the module-level control of BESS through novel inverter hardware and smart algorithms.
