Projectdetails

Introduction

The ATLAS² project aims at developing the first service of Space Safety.

Project Overview

Based on a network of 7 radars deployed around the world with a new design for scanning and tracking, the project is capable of detecting debris down to centimetric size.

Data Fusion

Through fusing data from its network and other sources, Look Up Space aims at extending the lifetime of satellites through:

  1. Collision avoidance
  2. Decreased number of collision avoidance manoeuvres of satellites

Applicability

This service will be applicable to small satellite fleets as well as to whole satellite constellations.

Significance

This will provide the EU with the first sovereign solution for space safety, dedicated to coordinating all stakeholders and automating processes.
