An Eco-responsible solution to digitalize tickets and receipts in a simple and quick manner
This project aims to replace polluting paper tickets with a sustainable, digital solution that protects user data and complies with health regulations while achieving TRL9 for various applications.
Projectdetails
Introduction
This project aims at proposing an alternative solution to the paper tickets (receipts) currently available in the market and delivered by retailers or mass distribution through the digitalization of these tickets. This will be done without requesting access to personal data, sending e-mails, or maintaining permanent storage on static data centers. The project aims at replacing a polluting solution with another less polluting solution.
Disruptive Innovation
The solution implemented in this project is a disruptive innovation and has several advantages:
-
Sustainability: The thermal paper currently used is not very eco-friendly, in terms of waste, natural resources needed (wood, water), energy required, and GHG emissions.
-
Health Aspect: Thermal paper contains toxic substances such as bisphenol A (or F or S where BPA is forbidden).
-
Data Protection: Compliance with private data protection, as no private data will be requested to be used in this solution.
Technology and Cost
Furthermore, the proposed solution is based on well-known digital technologies with no over-cost for the customers.
Project Goals
The aim of the project under the LIFE program is to reach TRL9 for receipts and to develop solutions for different applications such as:
- Credit card receipts
- Machine tickets (ATM, car park machines, etc.)
