Projectdetails

Introduction

RES2 project will provide an update of the BUILD UP Skills 2013 national roadmap for Italy, complementing the outputs of the Construction Blueprint project funded under Erasmus+.

Status Quo Analysis

The status quo analysis will be a complete and comprehensive report on the education, training, and continuous learning for both workers and professionals in the building sector. The presence of CNCE, a national paritarian institution of the building sector, will integrate the status quo with the current contractual situation for all the workforce in the building domain.

Professionals Considered

The status quo will consider blue and white-collar professionals involved in:

  • Designing
  • Installing
  • Maintaining all technologies used to:
    • Improve seismic and energy performance of buildings
    • Use digitalization to improve energy performance throughout the supply chain
    • Realize smart buildings

Roadmap Development

The status quo will be the starting point to investigate the need for skilled workers and professionals and prepare the roadmap to fill the existing gap of competencies and/or workers and/or professionals.

Stakeholder Engagement

To build consensus around the roadmap, several tools will be used, including:

  1. Interviews
  2. Workshops
  3. Living lab

These tools will ensure that all the stakeholders of the value chain (VET provider included) at the regional and national levels will contribute to identifying the needs for both blue and white-collar professionals.

Lessons Learned

The updated roadmap will also exploit the lessons learned and best practices of many European, national, and regional projects where most partners have been involved.

European Platform Opportunity

In particular, the partners will investigate, in connection with stakeholders, the opportunity to use the European platform for the recognition of competencies developed in the ARISE project (Horizon 2020) and based on the outcome of the BIM-EPA (BIM for Energy Performance Alliance) network made by 5 European projects with around 100 partners from 20 European countries.

Future Implications

The use of such a platform could support future international standardization in competence development and recognition, making the roadmap more resilient to any future change in the competencies needed to better adapt to climate change.
