Conduct an In-Depth Audit
Conduct an in-depth audit of existing waste management systems of the participating UA municipalities to develop efficient solutions for waste infrastructure and the municipal waste management system as a whole. -
Strengthen Municipalities' Institutional Capacity
Strengthen municipalities' institutional capacity to secure project implementation and sustain project results through conducting comprehensive training for municipalities employees. -
Develop Sustainable Waste Management Framework
Ensure long-term planning and implementation of a sustainable waste management framework for 4 UA municipalities by developing Zero Waste Strategies based on the waste hierarchy and circular economy principles with a priority on climate-neutral infrastructural solutions. Development will be carried out in cooperation with municipal institutions, local NGOs, and European experts. -
Launch Infrastructural Pilot Projects
Launch one infrastructural pilot project per each participating UA municipality, focusing on the following municipal waste streams:- Bio-waste
- Textile waste
- Waste from electrical and electronic equipment
- Hazardous waste
