Agri-food Efficiency with New Energy Audit Measures
The project aims to enhance sustainable growth in the EU agri-food sector by promoting energy audits and digital solutions, supported by tailored mentoring and capacity-building programs.
Projectdetails
Introduction
The Project aims to accelerate the transition of the Agri-food EU industry towards a sustainable growth model by increasing the uptake of the recommended measures from Energy Audits. It encourages companies (C10 - C11) to undergo energy audits and the subsequent implementation of the recommendations from these audits, promoting digital solutions.
Global Challenges
The war in Ukraine threatens food security at a global level. Furthermore, the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has exposed the growing risk of EU over-dependency on global supply chains for key goods and technologies produced by third countries.
All of this adds to the existing pressure that climate change puts on our food production systems and requires us to continually mitigate and adapt to changes. To combat environmental pollution and create a more sustainable food sector, energy use during manufacturing needs to be reduced.
AENEAM Acceleration Program
AENEAM offers an acceleration program tailored to the involved companies, which includes:
- High impact mentoring
- Steady network immersion
- Energy audits
- Specialized workshops for re-skilling and enhancing the skills of energy technicians
- Strategic propositions to improve their know-how
- Green impact strategy at corporate culture and communication
- Business plans
- Access to investors and public funding
- Digital solutions seminars and demonstrations
This acceleration program serves as a capacity-building initiative, providing a systematic approach to knowledge and skills development to ensure that the companies have the internal expertise to effectively implement change and improve the performance of the measures.
Operational Services
Operational services will complete and guide the measures deployment at the individual level for companies and through the Local Pilots (4 countries), grouping companies for joint solutions.
AENEAM Team
The AENEAM team is composed of several technicians from 4 EU countries: Spain (ES), France (FR), Italy (IT), and Poland (PL). The team combines experts on energy audits and measures implementation, as well as agri-food clusters and associations that will promote and support the activities' development.
