Introduction
ACCE stands for Access to Capital for Community Energy. It is a project to develop and scale up collective financing tools for energy cooperatives across Europe. This project will serve to develop innovative financing schemes for energy communities, drawing from existing examples in the cooperative movement.
Objectives
The main objectives of the project are to:
- Create 5 Community Energy Financing Schemes (CEFS) in 5 target countries (RO, HR, ES, DE, BE) set up at the national or regional level.
- Realize 2 expansions (in scope and capital) for existing CEFS in the Netherlands and France.
- Create a European intermediary for national Community Energy Financing Schemes (CEFS) aimed at accessing EU capital and funds.
- Trigger the investment of 90 million euros of citizen investments through the creation of Community Energy Financing Schemes (CEFS).
