Introduction

ERA is a hybrid electric aircraft, propelled by electric engines that are powered by the electricity supplied by batteries and/or the turbogenerators located at the aft of the aircraft.

Market Needs

ERA matches the most advanced needs of the market and will allow exploitation for decades. Key features include:

  • Stand-up and pressurized cabin
  • Large cargo door
  • Latest avionics
  • Fly-by-wire enabling flight domain protection

Pilot Capability

ERA is Single Pilot Capable, enabling airlines to cope with the lack of trained pilots and to reduce their operating costs when regulations allow it.

Runway Operations

It can take off and land on short runways (800m) and can operate on unpaved runways.

Versions

The four versions of ERA answer most market needs:

  1. Passengers, with up to 19 passengers on commercial flights
  2. Full cargo, with 2 tons of payload and 21m³ of available volume
  3. Business (8 passengers configuration)
  4. Special missions (e.g., medical evacuation), with ad hoc configuration

Range

Depending on the configuration, ERA covers distances from 400 up to 1500 km.
