Introduction
BEST-a is a pioneer product based on biosourced phytosterols to deliver sustainability and proven yield gains in water stress conditions. Issued from the proprietary and patented technology developed by Elicit Plant and already authorized in France for corn and soybean, this is the first product to adapt crops to climate change.
Objectives
The objective is to improve the formulation of the product, create new products with the same technology to expand usage to other species and other stresses, then to carry out new field tests and to obtain marketing authorizations. The three ultimate goals to help farmers are:
- Provide a sustainable biosourced product to adjust to climate change.
- Reduce the usage of chemicals.
- Ease the growth of protein crops with a sustainable approach.
Market Goals
Elicit Plant's goal is to take a leading position in the global biologicals market thanks to its phytosterol-based products and to achieve a turnover of around 450 million euros in 2029, selling its products in more than 15 countries worldwide.
